On July 7th, Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study (BMTS) held a press conference announcing the FREE Internet-based ridesharing website it is sponsoring called Broome-Tioga Greenride, which is accessed at www.BroomeTioga.Greenride.com.

Since that date there have been 40 people who have created an account on Broome-Tioga Greenride with the objective of finding a match for an opportunity to carpool/rideshare together. The success of this ridesharing service depends on having as many people as possible sign-up for Broome-Tioga Greenride. As well as reaching out to individuals in the community, BMTS will also be reaching out directly to employers and other organizations to spread the word about Broome-Tioga Greenride.
