To Regional Community Food Project Participants & Stakeholders:
We need your help getting the word out on the Community Food Project Coordinator position. Our Search Committee interviewed two candidates last week. While we think both candidates are viable, we would like to generate additional applications and conduct several more interviews over the next few weeks. Please help by circulating the attached position announcement, and/or advertisement to likely audiences.
This is a great opportunity for a young adult age 18 - 25, with an interest in local food systems, agriculture, health, social justice and/or collaborative work. We are looking for that unique individual with both passion for changing the food system and the skills to help move the Regional Community Food Project to the next level.
Please note that the work/service location for the position will depend on who is selected. We encourage applications from throughout our service area and will do our best to locate a work/service site near the selected candidates residence.
This is a part-time position (907 hours over 11 or 12 months). The tangible benefits associated with this position include a living allowance of $6,000, an education award of $2,362 and college loan forbearance while actively serving.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. We are hoping to have the Coordinator begin serving in September, so there is some urgency to this request.
More details about the position are available under "2009 Part-Time Positions" at the link below, or you can call the Rural Health Network at 607-769-7669. more
