Renew Health is a unique health care access program for uninsured people with Diabetes, Asthma or a chronic lung disease. Our skilled Renew Health staff will help you pay for primary care doctor visits and transportation, afford medication, and teach you the skills needed to manage your own health. A course on living a healthier life is FREE with Renew Health participation.

Participant of Renew Health

 Do you qualify to be a participant of Renew Health? If you say yes to the following statements then you are qualified to be a participant of Renew Health:

  • Have one of the following chronic conditions: Diabetes, Asthma, or a chronic lung disease
  • Between the ages of 18-64 years
  • Uninsured

The Renew Health staff can meet with you at a convenient location to connect you with:

  • Financial coverage for visits to a primary care provider (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant)
  • Health information and resources about your chronic condition 
  • Prescription assistance programs
  • Transportation resources
  • Referrals for services
  • Free participation in Renew Health’s disease self-management education classes

Living Healthy Class

  • 6 Week workshop
  • Equips Members with knowledge to better manage their chronic conditions
  • Free book about self-management of chronic conditions and CD with participation

  • Lourdes and UHS providers are sources of Renew Health referrals.

AIDS Ride for Life
9/11/2010 - On September 11, 2010 approximately 400 people will bicycle 100 miles around Cayuga Lake in the AIDS Ride for Life to make a difference in the lives of people struggling with HIV/AIDS. This event benefits our area’s primary HIV/AIDS service provider, the Sothern Tier AIDS Program. It also raises awareness about this disease and the reality that it has not disappeared.
